Colours Used for Stain Glass Painting

What kind of colours are used for stain glass painting ? What are the tools required for painting?

Milly's reply:

Happily, there's a whole range of stain glass paints available for glass enthusiasts. You can buy transparent or opaque colours in almost any colour you like, although blood red is hard to achieve.
If you prefer using stain glass paint as it was used in medieval times, there is a range of opaque blacks and browns. These rely on the colour of the glass rather than the stain glass paint for the colour element.
With regard to tools, have a look at the 'Painting' section on my site, it gives step by step glass painting instructions and tells you which tools you need.
I hope this helps.

Milly,

Where can I buy Heraeus or Ferro glass paints in the US?

Milly's reply:

I've looked everywhere for a US supplier of these glass paints, but no luck so far. I know that people do buy them in the States... but WHERE?! If anyone can help, please let us know, thanks, Milly
