Stained Glass Making - Plating Examples

Both Tiffany and LaFarge used plating to give depth to their works. Is there anywhere in Southern England where one can view/examine examples of glass plating/multi-layer stained glass by either of these two artists or similar work? Alternatively can you recommend a good book on this technique?
Hi James, good question, thanks. Have you thought of approaching the Stained Glass Museum at Ely for UK examples? You can contact them via their website - the curator is probably your best bet - or ring them on 01353 660347.
I've seen some of this plating in Tiffany windows in Chicago - in this photo the torches are plated. I'm not sure whether you want to learn how to plate glass, or whether you want to see examples of this particular stained glass making technique? Patrick Reyntiens talks a bit about it in his "The Techniques of Stained Glass", if you can get hold of a copy. Let me know if you find any Tiffany near where you live...
